This Saturday, May 10th, at 8:00 PM, we are releasing the Salmon in the School – Seattle (SISS) fry into Venema Creek. This is the last release of the 2025 Carkeek Park imprinting and rearing season.
We have approx. 3900 Chum salmon fry that were raised by students, teachers, and volunteers in 22 schools.
Please join us in sending this last batch of fry on their way to Puget Sound and eventually Alaska. We will pull the plug shortly after 8pm, so arrive early. Parking can be tight.
