What a week! Thank you surveyors for braving a long rainy survey this Tuesday. Our numbers already exceed last year’s with an astounding 503 live Chum salmon spotted on Tuesday. That’s the most we’ve ever seen in a single survey. The salmon have made their way past all of the dams and have been seen in all of the Carkeek creeks. Many observation points have dozens of salmon making it a great time for public viewing.

Strong rains have continued to bring tons of salmon into the park at record pace. The streams are lively with lots of spawning activity and few carcasses being found. We should start to see the number of carcasses slowly increase with a peak of total entries somewhere around November 15th
These scatter plots are interactive. Locations are approximate and based on where the data recorder is standing. Not all entries will have location set
Strong rains and notch exclusion fencing have allowed salmon to pass the beaver dams much earlier this year compared to last year
